HOURS: School hours are from 6:30am-6:00pm. Parents requiring extended care for their children may, under certain circumstances, make arrangements for additional care with the administrator, and by paying an additional fee.
Each day’s schedule provides for language skills and social concepts, music, art, recreation, Bible stores, individual guidance and nap time. A hot lunch is provided. Our enclosed playground is a delight to all the children. Forced air heating and air conditioning assures comfort in any weather.

OBJECTIVES: The Park Avenue Christian Day Nursery School is a community service. It is more than an institution where children are merely watched. The primary object is to provide a healthy, helpful, happy, creative Christian environment for children. Our trained staff will assist each child in his/her development and help meet his/her physical, mental and spiritual needs and interests. Fine facilities are offered to your child at Park Avenue and we invite your inspection.
STAFF: The Park Avenue Christian Church has been conscientious in selecting each member of the Day Nursery School staff. Our Administrator, Noemi Ramirez is a highly qualified former Head Start teacher and leader, with the advantage of speaking Spanish as well as English.
Our Director, Virginia Rodriguez, has a B.A. in Child Development and has been a Head Teacher for several years at Park Avenue Day Nursery School.

TUITION
Tuition is payable by the week in advance, each Monday morning. There will be no money refunded or credit allowed due to a child’s illness or vacation. Tuition payment may be made in cash, money order or cashier’s check. Personal checks will be accepted but a $25.00 fee will be charged if the check is returned, and personal checks will no longer be accepted on your account. There will be a three day grace period after which a charge of $20.00 will be added for late payment, unless prearranged with the administration.
Because our enrollment is limited and pre-school service is in great demand, payment is made in order to keep a reservation open. When tuition is one week delinquent, the child’s enrollment may be terminated. Please show the courtesy of making each payment promptly.

STATE REGULATIONS: In keeping with the rules and regulations of the Department of Social Welfare, State of California, and in accordance with the Governor’s code of fair practices, this nursery school is operated on a non-discriminatory basis, accorded equal access to services and treatment without regard to race, color, national origin or ancestry.
In keeping with established rules and regulations of the Welfare & Institution Code, Sate of California, all bruises, discoloration, swellings or cuts of a suspicious nature will be investigated by the school administrator. If the findings warrant further investigations involving possible child abuse, the matter will be forwarded to the Protective Services Department of Public Social Services and the local Police Department. It is a misdemeanor not to report suspected cased of child abuse.
